Welcome to the Albany Rural Cemetery.
Albany Rural Cemetery is both private property and a final resting place.
Please respect all graves in the cemetery.
Cemetery Grounds and Gates
- Albany Rural Cemetery is currently operating on winter hours.
- Gate hours apply to both the Main Gate (off Broadway) and the South Gate (off Route 378)
- Although we are open for foot traffic, we ask that all vehicular traffic enter the cemetery no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled closing time.
Spring & Fall Clean-up
To maintain the beauty and serene environment of Albany Rural Cemetery, our annual Spring Clean-up will begin on April 15th and our Fall Clean-up will begin on October 15th. Each annual cleanup takes approximately 2 weeks.
During these times, all personal items, decorations, and flowers not in approved permanent vases must be removed from grave plots. Any items remaining on plots after these dates will be removed by cemetery staff.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our grounds beautiful for all visitors.
Office Hours
Mausoleum Hours
- The mausoleum is a designated nonsmoking area.
- Flowers are allowed in designated areas.
- Remembrances must not block walkways within the mausoleum.
Chapel Hours
- Open for scheduled events only.
- The chapel is a designated nonsmoking area.
- There is a small fee to use the chapel for services. Please contact the office for arrangements.
