Family/Genealogy Research
We can provide you with support in your genealogical research. Lot owners and their immediate family members can get copies of their own lot and section information at no cost. For others, staff services for searching and copying of cemetery burial card records is provided at a nominal cost. Larger projects can be discussed ahead of time for special pricing. Copies of plot maps are also available at a cost, and a digital color photograph of the actual lot itself can be arranged. Again, special requests should be discussed ahead of time by contacting the Cemetery Office at 518-462-7017.
Specialized Research
While Albany Rural Cemetery does not have its own research staff, we do have access to a range of skilled individuals, including Cemetery Trustees and other outside researchers who can conduct specialized genealogical research depending on the project. This work needs to be arranged ahead of time on special case-by-case basis by contacting the Office.
